What is the Hi3510 application field?
The Hi3510 communication media processor can be widely used in real-time video communication, digital image monitoring, network camera, IP interphone, network TV recorder.
What are the Hi3510 features?
1) Great processing power: H.264 hardware encoding/decoding, D1 real-time encoding, 4-way voice processing. The dual-core ARM and DSP ensures the performance for service expansion.
2) Unique solution in monitoring: Hardware DES/3DES encryption module, hardware digital watermark module, macro moving detection of 8 8 (minimum).
3) Various peripheral interfaces: Dual network ports, dual UART ports, dual USB ports, dual I2S ports, SPI interface, DDR interface, SDRAM interface, Flash interface, 48 GPIO interfaces and EBI bus for peripheral expansion.
Can I use DDR or SDRAM only as the memory?
he Hi3510 provides a 32-bit wide SDRAM controller and a 16-bit wide DDR controller, which are independent from each other. You can use both or either of them. It depends on the bandwidth of the system.
What is the size of the external memories (SDRAM, DDR and Flash)? And what about the width?
The Hi3510 provides two memory controllers. The expansion bus interface is 32-bit wide. It supports:
1) 32/16-bit SDRAM in the size of 128 MB
2) 32/16/8-bit Flash, SRAM and other static memory devices. There are four banks in total, each of which supports up to 64 MB.
The DDR controller supports 16-bit DDR in the maximum size of 128 MB.
Does the Hi3510 support AMD Flash?
The Hi3510 supports Intel or AMD (SPANSION) NOR Flash.
What are AES/DES/3DES? How can we use them?
AES/DES/3DES are plain text symmetric ciphering algorithms. They are used for data encryption in network transfers to enhance the security of the network applications.
What is the package of the Hi3510? Do you provide industrial package or RoHS package?
LFBGA400 package. BGA ball dimension is 0.8 mm, the pad pitch is 0.8 mm, and the size is 9 19 mm. Commercial package, industrial package are both provided as well as lead-contained package and RoHs package.
How many video input 656 interfaces does the Hi3510 support?
The Hi3510 has one digital video input interface, complying with the 601 and 656 standards.
Does the Hi3510 support digital LCD? What is the interface type? What is the supported resolution?
The Hi3510 supports 24-bit digital LCD. The type of the interface is RGB 8:8:8. The maximum resolution is 800 600.
Does the Hi3510 support simultaneous output of TV and LCD?
The Hi3510 supports switchover of TV and LCD output instead of simultaneous output in the two modes.
What audio interface does the Hi3510 support? Does the Hi3510 support 4-way audio input?
The Hi3510 audio interfaces support IIS and PCM modes. The Hi3510 has two SIO modules for four audio inputs.
What is the sampling bit width of the audio interface? How about the sampling rate?
The sampling bit width can be 8 bits and 16 bits.
The sampling rate can be 8kHz, 16 kHz, 22.05 kHz, 24 kHz, 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz.
Does the Hi3510 support 4-way audio encoding?
In video monitoring, the ARM software implements audio encoding/decoding. The Hi3510 is integrated with the high-performance ARM926. In normal applications, there are enough CPU resource to support 4-way G.711/ADPCM/G.726 encoding.
What are the standards of audio encoding/decoding supported by the Hi3510?
The Hi3510 supports software audio encoding/decoding, complying with the standards G.711, ADPCM and G.726.
What is the flow of the encoding/decoding stream?
Real-time encoding/decoding supports D1 3 Mbps encoding/decoding stream.
