HiSilicon extends UHD product family with the latest generation, supporting Home Media Streaming applications and Broadcast TV

Shenzhen, China - 23rd May 2017 – HiSilicon Technologies Co., Ltd, as a world leading fabless IC semiconductor company, officially announced the availability of the next generation UHD chipset with embedded support for the industry leading Broadcast CA, HEVC video decoding and support for multiple HDR technologies.

The HI3796MV200, is the next generation SoC in Hisilicon’s integrated UHD product family. It offers higher levels of integration and performance while reducing the overall power footprint. Ideally suited for a range of different multimedia and video applications from OTT, Media Hubs and Set Top Boxes applications, by offering industry leading technologies and added support for Broadcast Conditional Access and Digital Rights Management capabilities.

Hisilicon Hi3796MV200 provides powerful CPU and GPU processing capabilities with a quad-core ARM® Cortex® A53 64-bit CPU and a multi-core ARM® MaliTM 450 graphics GPU and subsystem along with the latest generation of the HiVXE2.0 Multi-format Video decode engine that supports the latest industry formats, AVS 2.0, HEVC and VP9 10bit decoding.

Hi3796MV200 supports Dolby Vision/HDR 10/HLG/SLF technologies and integrates ImprexTM2.0 PQ engine which provide an immersive best-in-class video quality experience. The device offers a highly flexible number of system interfaces, including Ethernet, USB 2.0/ USB 2.0, SATA/eSATA ports and PCI2 2.0, allowing support for scalability and connection of intelligent IOT devices, that target the Smart Home and Media Hub functionality.

The device is available in 2 package options, offering the choice of features, best suited for the target application.
