[ShangHai, China, June 2, 2020]Recently, China Mobile launched the first deeply customized WiFi 6 AX3000 router which was jointly developed with HiSilicon (Shanghai). This router works in tandem with China Mobile's smart home services and features 160 MHz bandwidth, triple anti-interference, hardware acceleration, and chip-level security.
The router provides 2 x 80 MHz bandwidth in the 5 GHz band. The performance at 160 MHz exceeds 1 Gbit/s, supporting the access of mobile gigabit broadband from desktops.
In addition, to ensure smooth service experiences, HiSilicon and China Mobile have provided three chip-level technologies based on China Mobile's smart home services:
160 MHz channel: shortens data transmission time and reduces data collision
Intelligent band skipping: skips bands which have been interfered with, to utilize as much of the spectrum as possible
BSS coloring: colors user data for different basic service set (BSS) channels to reduce co-channel interference
With WiFi 6 network slicing, HiSilicon provides dedicated, hardware-level service channels to enable independent scheduling of high-priority services. This dramatically reduces the average and peak latency of delay-sensitive services such as gaming, and prevents frame freezing.
As cyber security is essential to China Mobile's services, HiSilicon's full-series routers and gateway solutions provide chip-level security capabilities. The chipset has a built-in, one-off writable area. During the device production process, the China Mobile signature key is written into the chipset and locked. During activation, the HiSilicon chipset performs complete verification, to ensure the validity of the system software and prevent malicious ROM flashing.
HiSilicon welcomes more industry partners to promote the development of China Mobile's smart home services and drive China Mobile into the WiFi 6 dual gigabit era for a smarter lifestyle.
